Senior IT Network Technician & Programmer needed in Las Vegas, NV:

The Sr. IT Network Technician & Programmer for Video Audio Specialists will be in charge of the design, development, installation and testing of highly complex and large scale audio & video systems by networking, automation systems, wired and wireless networking equipment, IP security cameras, switching, routing, etc. for our major Las Vegas hotel and resort clients. 

Specific Tasks Will Include:

  • Design, development, installation, troubleshooting and testing complex audio & video systems, and Setup boxes;
  • Oversee a team of 9 AV Technicians in performing installations, programming and service/repair support to our major hotel/resort clients;
  • Report progress back to Video Audio Specialists and Hotel Management;
  • Train team in the systems maintenance and installation;
  • Perform final test of systems once installation is completed by team;
  • Report any faulty equipment to manufacturer and Video Audio Specialists & ensure delivery of properly functioning equipment;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with systems;
  • Domestic Travel Required 4 times per year to perform installation of new equipment and systems or to perform repairs and/or maintenance on hotel client systems;

General, Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree IT Network Engineering or Foreign Equivalent, or related, plus 3yrs IT Networking experience; 1 of the 3yrs must be in a role handling complex Audio Video support, programming, and installations within a large hotel/resort setting; will accept progressive experience with same employer;

 

Special Requirements:

 

Strong computer networking knowledge, Excellent troubleshooting skills; Ability to install complex AV and IT related infrastructure (cabling, connectors); Ability to install, operate and service most AV Equipment and systems; Ability to operate power tools (hammer drills, hammer, etc.);  Proficiency in the use of personal computers for programming networks, WiFi, LAN, and other devices;  Must be familiar working with LG Setup Box, LG Procentric-Server, Wireless Design of ECSE Ekahau systems; as well as smart home equipment, Control4 systems, & working with OS servers such as Windows Server and Linux;
